On Monday, you will receive your child's placement information for next year. At this point I do not know the 4th grade teachers but you will receive a class list.
Schedule Next Week
Monday is a half day because of 8th grade graduation. Wednesday we will have a pizza party. Thursday is a full day but the last day of school!
Our Learning
We had a jam-packed week which started with a surprise visitor. On Tuesday, the Dr. Jeff Young, the school superintendent, visited our class to thank us for sending him our Constructing Cambridge book. He asked us questions about the book and we all signed his personal copy.
That same afternoon we had a visit from Jef Czekaj, a local children's book author. He was a lot of fun and had us rapping along with his retelling of the tortoise and the hare story called, Hip and Hop Don't Stop. Check out his website for more info: http://www.czekaj.com/
The rest of the week we continued to get ready for our big celebration and this morning we rocked! I am so proud of all the work we have done and the kids did a great job!Next week we will continue our legacy. Some students will be visiting younger classes as guest storytellers. We will also perform our dance for other classes. On Thursday we will say our goodbyes and summer vacation begins!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Meg
